Janice: Thanks! I went by today and they were all snuggled up behind Mama Duck, so I took a quick picture, then I looked up and saw an eagle sitting on a pole a few feet away. I didn't even think about taking a picture of him, I quickly climbed over the chain and headed down the ramp towards the ducklings. The eagle took off! I guess they're part of the food chain, but I didn't want it to happen while I was watching!
Coca: There were a couple of guys there - an old (really old) guy that lives across from the lake, and a young guy with his baby daughter, taking pictures ... they have been keeping track of how many ducklings are in each group. So far, they say, this group is in tact, but the one I took yesterday with the yellow ducklings, is missing a couple. Another group from earlier in the Spring ended up with six survivors, out of about fourteen total!!

How funny. They do just what you tell them. Smart birds. MB
MB: Funny how that works, lol.
