Happy Easter

1) Port Of Kissimmee Lighthouse, Lake Tohopekaliga, Kissimmee, Florida. I've been photographing the lighthouse quite often, trying to get a shot good enough to use for this post. This is the best I could do.

2) Three Crosses, St. Cloud, Florida. From the early 1960's to the late 1980's there was a huge cross on top of the Water Tower in St. Cloud. The cross was lighted every night and could be seen for miles, as the Water Tower was the tallest structure in St. Cloud. The city owned the Water Tower, but leased the space for the cross to an individual, so it was not officially a religious display by the city. Someone sued, the city lost, and the cross was removed. The wood from the cross was used to create these three crosses, and several others, which were placed on private property in various parts of the city. I know of two sites: this one on Lakeshore Blvd, which runs along East Lake Toho, and a group of three on 13th Street (Hwy 192), which runs through the heart of the city.

Happy Easter!!

Thanks for this beautiful post!
I studied at Saint Julian's School, an english school at Carcavelos (part of Cascais, one of Lisbon's municipality) and our badge had a beautiful lighthouse (representing The Lighthouse of Saint Julian, near the School, where the River Tagus meets the Atlantic Ocean) and the moto: «Lux Tua Semper Nos Ducat»!!!
I hope you had a wonderful Easter Holliday!!!

Very nice post. In the 80's, it seemed that everywhere I went --in rural areas---there were 3 crosses placed in the most unlikely places. I always wondered who and why they were placed in these remote areas...this reminds me of them!
